What have i let myself into? I have created an online blog.
I actually believe we, as a population, spend too much time online. We should be outside, enjoying life. This is when i look outside and see dark storm clouds, yeah thanks ex-tropical cyclone Oswald. But seriously, this may sound hypocritical, but we do spend too much time online. In my house we have seven computers. SEVEN COMPUTERS?! WHAT ON EARTH FOR?! I live in Australia, we could be out on the beach (not today, i don’t want to die), or we could be swimming in a random river, or picniking in a random field. What did the world do before technology? Ask your grandparents for inspiration.
A friends parent has recently bought an e-book reader for his eight year old child. WHAT IS AN EIGHT YEAR OLD CHILD GOING TO DO WITH AN E-BOOK READER?! You see 10 year olds on facebook making status’ such as “I’m bored”. WELL GET OUTSIDE YOU LAZY 21ST CENTURY FREAK. Apple now have a new app called “Find my friends”, which as the title suggests is an app purely to locate your friends. Erm Apple, I am pretty sure that is borderline stalking. People also update their status’ stating that they are spending the day shopping, or going on holiday. As much as us humans love to boast about our busy schedules, this is just like a putting a flashing sign outside the front of our houses saying “I am not home, free access to any burglar in the area”. Are we really that stupid?
